The ICJ gives preference to learning in actual situations. In addition the Institute wants each and every student to showcase his or her talent at every stage so that the Institute is able to evaluate their potential and improvement from time to time.
For this purpose, the students are categorized into different groups and each group publishes Lab Journals in rotation after deliberating among themselves on the topics and articles to be selected for the journal.
Since it comes as a real test to expose their creativity, the students have no sort of support in their work from the Director. However, if required the institute always provides necessary guidance as to how the journal should be prepared.
The Lab Journals are published in both English and Malayalam while special journals are brought out during particular events.
The ICJ instructed the students to publish about 15 journals which will help them to shed the ranks of amateur to turn to professional standards on a period of time.
But to our pleasure, the 2008-09 batch brought out 17 issues of Lab-Journals, out of which three were special issues in Magazine form.
